#MuslimsForEnvironment: 5,000 trees to be planted on 18 sites

On Sunday 31 July 2016 more than 500 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia will enthusiastically take part in ‘National Tree Day’ in all major states of Australia. The Association has registered 7 sites in NSW, 4 sites in QLD, 1 site in SA, 2 sites in VIC, 1 site in ACT, 1 site in WA, 1 site in TAS and 1 in NT; making a total of 18 tree plantation sites all over Australia.

The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Imam Inam-ul-Haq Kauser said,
“I encourage members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia to take part in this noble task of participating in National Tree Day for planting trees. The Holy Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) has laid special emphasis on planting and then looking after the trees. He declared planting a tree as a type of charity. So I humbly request all Ahmadi Muslim men and women to not only participate in this national campaign but also adopt ways that help our environment and eco-system.”
He further said,
“last year Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia planted more than 7,000 trees in various parts of Australia but this year we hope to double the figures. I hope and pray that they may achieve their targets.”
Site participation details are as follows:
