I am writing to express my sincere condolences to the bereaved families, friends and police officers of the Dallas Police Department for the tragic and fatal sniper attack against their patrol. It is most regrettable that, while serving to uphold and protect the constitutional rights of those in the very community that they serve, five heroic officers were murdered and several others were injured by one vengeful individual.
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I am truly grateful for the daily life-saving service that our nation's police officers provide our communities, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. I hope and pray that ALL our local religious, civic and community organizations develop a more profound appreciation for our police departments, and try harder than before to assist and cooperate fully with them in their critical line of work.
