The Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, hosted a Holy Qur’an Exhibition on 15th of October at the Suwanee Library.
The Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Georgia Chapter hosted a Holy Qur’an Exhibition on 15th of October at the Suwanee Library to explore the beautiful teachings of Islam’s Holy Scripture. The purpose of this exhibition was two fold. First, it was to eliminate the misconceptions about Qur’an and second, to highlight the peaceful message of Islam.
The Qur’an is a compilation of the verbal revelations given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon him) over a period of twenty-three years. The Holy Qur’an has been translated into more than 70 languages by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Some of these translations were displayed at the exhibition. It was explained to the guests that this is the Holy Scripture of the Muslims which lays down for them the laws and commandments, codes for their social and moral behavior, and contains a comprehensive religious philosophy. Millions of Muslims, including children as young as eight years of age, have memorized the Holy Qur’an in its entirety. Parts of the text are also recited in the five daily Prayers by Muslims throughout the world.

The guests walked through the Holy Qur’an exhibition to discover unlimited treasures of insight, eternal truth and wisdom, and felt the love and peace of the Islamic teachings. Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community were available to answer questions about Islam. One of the guests wanted to know if painting is allowed in Islam and was informed that Islam does not prohibit art. Free literature was also distributed.
This event was sponsored by the Qur’anic Studies department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA and was launched to remove myths and create an opportunity for open dialogues across the country.
