Dear Editor,
As a Muslim living in America, I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
I am thankful that I live in a nation where members of all faiths can celebrate in peace and without fear of persecution.
I give gifts during this season because my faith stresses caring for and loving neighbors.
In fact, the Prophet Muhammad said "Whoever believes in God should be generous to his neighbor." (Malik Al-Muwatta)
