The awaited Messiah of all has come," said Imam shamshad A. Nasir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Glen Ellyn,Chicago.
More than sixty high school students from West Chicago High School visited Baet ul Jaamay Mosque in Glen Ellyn, Chicago on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016. They were accompanied by their teacher Mr. David Sayner and the purpose of this study tour was to visit the Mosque and to learn more about Islam and Ahmadiyyat.
The group was received and welcomed by Imam Shamshad A. Nasir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mr. Mashhood Ahmad Mirza and Iqbal Majeed, a principle of Masroor academy. A reception was arranged inside the mosque, and refreshments were served.
The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Mr Mashhood Mirza welcomed and thanked the students and their teacher for visiting the mosque.
Imam Shamshad Nasir highlighted the principles of Islamic faith and elaborated on basic principles of Islamic religion and methods of worship and their significance.
The Imam emphasized that Islam means peace and submission to the will of God, Five pillars of Islam are act of worship, and Islam teaches freedom of faith and respect for all regardless of faith. Its sole purpose is self-reformation.

Imam Shamshad answered their questions and presented the book" Life of Muhammad (saw)" to Mr. David Sayner. Imam also gave two brochures, “Islam The Religion of Peace and Tolerance,” and “Messiah Has Come,” to all the students.
In his address, Mr. David Sayner thanked Imam Shamshad and his team for providing an opportunity to visit the mosque and for explaining Islamic faith in great detail.
In the end, the students took a walk around the mosque and the prayer area where Imam Shamshad explained how Muslims offer the prayers. Before departure, there was group photograph outside the mosque.
Mr. David Sayner and the students thanked Imam Shamshad and members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the opportunity to visit and the hospitality.
For most of the students, it was their first visit to a mosque. However, it was Mr. David Sayner‘s second visit to Baet ul Jaamay. He visited the Mosque last year with another group of students.

Imagine the uproar if the school had taken the children to a Christian Church.
