Young Muslims took to the streets of Halesowen on New Year's Day to clean up after the previous night's festivities.
Youths from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, held communal prayers at dawn for a prosperous 2017 and then used brooms and bin bags during the Big Street Clean.
The campaign is one of many charitable and community initiatives carried out by the AMYA across the winter break.
The group also organised blood donation sessions, charity collections, children's hospital and nursing home visits, and feeding the homeless sessions.
Muhammad Daud, youth leader for West Birmingham, said: "Our members have enjoyed living here for decades and so any opportunity to help our local community is much welcome.
"Cleaning the streets of the local area also presents us with an opportunity to become better Muslims as cleanliness is an integral part of our faith.
"We are peace loving British Muslims and will continue to do all we can to serve our local community as best we can and wherever there is a need."
AMYA UK frequently partake in tree planting, homeless feeding and foodbank donation sessions.
In 2016, it raised close to £300,000 for various British charities, planted 10,000 trees and helped more than 10,000 people during the floods earlier in the year and other natural disasters around the world.
