A well-attended women interfaith event was held by the Women Auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Newcastle at Northumbria University on November 26th.
The event saw ladies from a range of universities, colleges, organisations and faith groups come together, including Northumbria Police, North of England Refugee Services, and the Royal British Legion, amongst others, to share their ideas on faith and world peace.
Secretary of communication, Shafia Saeed, welcomed representatives of four religions, Hindu, Christian, Sikh, and Muslim, who all spoke at the event and later took part in an interactive question and answer session, which gave a positive insight into the guests and their respective faiths.
One guest commented: "The unity in the room between all faiths was a complete blessing to witness and I'd love to attend other events."
