As we commemorate Women’s History Month this March, I wish to elaborate on this subject and shine some light upon the remarkable gestures of generosity and outstanding achievements of the women in my community.

I belong to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and we follow the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He demonstrated exemplary qualities of compassion and kindness towards mankind, and encouraged women to serve humanity to the very best of their ability.

The Ahmadi Muslim women routinely feed the needy in soup kitchens, provide amenities to local orphanages, and support the refugees with education and career guidance.

Members of our community also provided food for the victims of the recent tornado in Ottawa.

On a daily basis, each one of us helps their neighbors and friends, as we strongly believe that even simple minute gestures of kindness carry a huge magnitude of reward in the eyes of God Almighty.
