AN item-packed hamper has been donated to Keighley Women's Aid Refuge.

The essential goods were given by Keighley Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association.

The initiative was part of a UK-wide campaign by the national organisation to celebrate International Women's Day.

Aneesa Rahman, for the Keighley association, said: "I would like to thank the local Ahmadi ladies who donated money towards the gifts.

"We must also highlight the efforts of the staff at the women's refuge as increasing demands are put upon them."
