The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK has condemned the senseless and brutal killing and injuring of innocent people at Westminster on Wednesday. The shocked members of the London community of Ahmadiyya Muslims have called community leaders for a vigil on Friday at their Baitul Futuh Mosque.

A statement issued on Thursday by the community, said:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of those killed and injured in this terrible terrorist attack. We applaud the speed and efficiency of the response by the emergency services. This is an attack at the heart of our democracy and we stand united with everyone in battling the evil of extremism. Together we are stronger and together, we will defeat our common enemy.”

Rafiq Hayat, National President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK, said:
"Those who commit evil will not succeed in their ends. God's purpose is to unite people not to divide them through killing and mayhem. The terrorists are the enemy of faith and humanity, and it is beholden on all us to ensure they have nowhere to hide.”
