An exhibition took place in Huddersfield Town Hall today for people to explore the meaning of the Holy Quran.

The town's Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Association decided to put on the event after the Westminster terror attack.

It is hoped that through this exercise we shall be able to dispel many of the misconceptions that may have arisen about Islam and its teachings especially with the atrocities that appear to be happening in the world and unfortunately get attributed to Islam and Verses of the Holy Quran.

Over 45 translations of the Holy Qur’an were on display for the public, with pop-up banners showing selected verses of the Holy Qur’an.

A vigil was also held on the recent attack in Stockholm, Sweden and with money raised for a charity organisation who help vulnerable refugees in England.

Although religion can be seen as divisive, in essence, it is a force that unites communities. Through understanding and learning about each other, we can remove these misunderstandings and create a stronger society.

Organisers say over 90 members of the public visited the exhibition throughout the day.
