JAKARTA - Thousands of Jemaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI) in Manislor Village, Kuningan District, West Java, are convinced they will have electronic ID card or e-ID card.
Director General of Population and Civil Records of the Interior Ministry Zudan Arif Fakrulloh said on August 3, 2017, he had met with Pemkab Kuningan.
During the meeting, the district government has been willing to print e-ID cards of Ahmadiyya members within 14 days after the meeting.
"I as the Director General of Dukcapil visited Kuningan District for deliberation with the Regent, Dandim, MUI, FKUB, Disdukcapil and Kesbangpol. In the consultation, Kuningan Regency has been willing to print all KTP for Ahmadiyah members within 14 days," said Zudan to Kompas .com, on Friday (4/8/2017).
According to Zudan, as of August 3rd 2017, the district government has printed 307 e-ID cards of Ahmadiyah people and has been distributed.
A meeting with representatives of Ahmadiyah people has taken place.
"I met some members of JAI at Manislor, Mr. Dudung, Mr. Mustafa and also met with Mr. Kuwu, and I have seen 307 ID cards distributed to residents, I have witnessed the people of Manislor get ID card," he said.
In addition, Zudan also explained that the completion of printing ID cards for Ahmadiyah residents in Kuningan District remains the responsibility of the Government of Kuningan Regency.
Until now, said Zudan, the printing has been processed and still continue to process printing e-ID card.
Thus, the implementation of e-ID card printing for Ahmadiyah residents will not be done at the Center and will still be finalized in Dukcapil Kuningan Regency.
Zudan said, the printing outside the domicile will not be considered as printing outside the resident's domicile is only done in the condition of the relevant population is outside its domicile.
"Therefore, the people of Manislor please coordinate with local disdukcapil to get their electronic ID card, no need to come to Disdukcapil center," said Zudan.
Previously, dozens of Jemaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia residents from Manislor Village returned to the office of the Ombudsman RI.
Accompanied by representatives from the Equal Institutes and One Justice Foundation, they complained about the alleged maladministration practices carried out by the Department of Demography and Civil Registry (Dukcapil) of Kuningan Regency.
The Dukcapil Office has been reluctant to issue electronic ID card (e-ID) for the 1,600 Ahmadiyah residents of Manislor Village.
Desi Aries Sandy (28), one of the Ahmadiyah residents, said that the Dukcapil Department did not want to print e-ID cards before all Ahmadiyah members signed a declaration to convert to religion of Islam and said the Syahadah.
"We are required to sign a declaration from Dukcapil's office in order to save the Ahmadiyah and the local government because of threats from certain mass organizations," said Desi during a meeting with the Ombudsman Commissioner Expert Staff at the Ombudsman's office in South Jakarta, Monday (7/24/2017).
