Manado - Jemaah Ahmadiyahis  spread in various regions in Indonesia. In North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi), Ahmadis are concentrated in Bolaang Mongondow and Manado districts.

One of the Ahmadiyah members, Mohammed Jacob smiled kindly to welcome guests who entered in a fixed house located in Taas Village, Tikala Sub-district, Manado, Thursday afternoon, October 12, 2017. "Please enter this house, that we call mission house," Jacob said.

Upon entering the living room, an other man is introduced. His name is Jusuf Pontoh, one of the Ahmadiyah personality in Manado. "He is the nephew of Yahya Pontoh, a former diplomat who brought the teachings of Ahmadiyah to North Sulawesi," he said.

Jacob is an Ahmadiyah preacher for the region of North Sulawesi which covers Manado and its surroundings. Although relatively young, the bespectacled man became the spiritual leader of the Ahmadiyah Jamaat in Manado.

"If I take care of spirituality, for the organization which is led by Sugeng Musdi," Jacob said, introducing a man who had just arrived at the house.

Jacob said, he is here as a mubaligh and his responsibility is assigned by the Central Board of Jemaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia. The center is located in Jakarta.

"While the international Ahmadiyya center is in London England," Jacob said.

If Jacob shifts his duties to another area according to the assignment of the Ahmadiyya Central Executive, the mission house will be occupied by a preacher who replaces Jacob's position.

He revealed that the number of Ahmadiyah followers in Manado City reached 73 people, consisting of 16 heads of household or family. "This number is not fixed, because there are congregations that enter Manado, some are out of the region due to job demands," said Jacob.

The Ahmadiyah Manado congregation is centered in Taas Village. The mission house occupied by Jacob, adjacent to a mosque still in one page. After climbing dozens of stairs, looks permanent building painted yellow standing majestic. The sign says "Baitul-Islam Mosque" is displayed on two glass windows.

"Every Friday or religious festival, the mosque is packed with congregations that come from various districts in Manado, including from the Sea Village," he said.

Jacob said, in the Village Sea was present and developed Ahmadiyah but until now do not have a mosque. If in other parts of Indonesia, the Ahmadiyya often get discriminatory treatment, such as banning worship to attack the house of worship, their life in Manado City is still conducive.

"Our relationship with the neighbors is well established," said Jacob. "On Eid-ul-Fitr, for example, Christian gives me a present, I also repaid it by giving a gift.
