Over 2000 students are currently enjoying government's Free SHS policy in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, the DCE, Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo has announced.
The students according to him are currently schooling at the T. I Ahmadiyya Senior High School at Gomoa Potsin, Gomoa Gyaman Community Day Senior High School and Fetteman Senior High School at Gomoa Fetteh.
"But for timely intervention of the Free SHS policy, most of these students would be sitting at home for lack of monies to further their education at the second cycle level.
This social intervention has given relief to parents by way of payment of various forms of fees for their wards. Members of Parliament, DCEs, Assembly Members, Chiefs and Opinion Leaders have all been relief as well.
Pressure from parents and guardians requestioning for financial support to send their wards to Senior High Schools has been been reduced drastically thanks to His Excellency President Akuffo Addo and the NPP government"

The Meeting which attracted people from all walks of lives was also to showcase the achievement of the District Assembly and the NPP government over the past eleven month.
