We live in uncertain and anxious times. Churches being bombed, Muslim mosques being desecrated, Jewish gravestones being vandalized. Fear overshadowing hope.
It is during such circumstances that peaceful dialogue is most desperately needed. Which is why my mosque (Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino) is bringing people of all faiths together for dinner and discussion this Friday afternoon.
What makes us different pales in comparison to what makes us similar. And sharing is what this time of the year is all about. It is time we take control of the narrative and spread peace on earth this holiday season by breaking bread together.
