Jammu - Kashmir: Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at condemns terror attack on CRPF jawans, cancels Peace Symposium


The meeting appealed to maintain peace and harmony and in the wake of attack, decided to cancel the Peace Symposium scheduled to be held on February 17, at Jammu Club.

Many organizations and individuals have conveyed their anguish over gruesome attack on CRPF convoy, which resulted into martyrdom of 44 jawans at Pulwama in South Kashmir yesterday.

In an emergency meeting held today, Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Jammu condemned the killings. Attendees observed two minutes silence for peace of departed souls, Indian media outlets have reported.

Further, the meeting appealed to maintain peace and harmony and in the wake of attack, decided to cancel the Peace Symposium scheduled to be held on February 17, at Jammu Club.

Meanwhile, Hindu fanatics torched dozens of vehicles of Muslims in Jammu city, today.

Eyewitnesses said that the protesters raised anti-Kashmir and anti-Pakistan and other provocative slogans.

Following the violence by the Hindu fanatics, the occupation authorities imposed curfew in Jammu. The authorities have also suspended internet service in the city.
