CHINO - Several years after losing access to its mosque because of a fire, the Ahmadiyya Muslim community today will officially return home.

The 800-person community will take part in a grand reopening event at the group's renovated and expanded Baitul Hameed Mosque.

The festivities start at 4 p.m. and will be open to the public. The 10,000-square-foot mosque is at 11941 Ramona Ave.

The two-story mosque, on five acres of property, and its surrounding complex in Chino is the largest in the southwestern United States for the Ahmadiyya community.
