The Ahmadiyya Muslim community returns to Terrace Sept. 16 to host a discussion on the “Existence of God. Fact or Fiction.”
It’s the fifth year the Ahmadiyya community has come to the city to host an event featuring speakers of different faiths.
This year, Casa Masala owner Davinder Singh Sangha will represent Sikhism, Father Terry Brock from the Sacred Heart Parish will represent Christianity, Frank Austin from the Bulkley Valley will talk about aboriginal faith and Mr. Muhammad Afzal Mirza, from the Amhadiyya community, will represent the Islamic point of view.
Atheist Benjamin Davidson will also make a short presentation.
The session takes place in Room 2001-2002 in the cafeteria building of Northwest Community College beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 16.
This conference is being organized with cooperation from Sacred Heart Parish Terrace BC, Gurdwara Sahib Mri-Piri Khalsa Darbar, Skeena Valley Guru Nanak Brotherhood Society, Northwest Community College, and The Terrace Standard.
City council member Bruce Martindale is the moderator for the evening.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim community in B.C. hosts events all over B.C. and the Yukon to better promote religious harmony across the country.
