Ghana: President Mills donates to Muslims

The Western Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo made the presentation on behalf of the President.

President John Evans Atta Mills has donated 100 bags of rice and 10 cartons of cooking oil to Imams of the three Muslim sects in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis towards the celebration of Idr Fitr.

They are the Ahmadiyya, Al-Tijani and Al-Sunna.

The Western Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo made the presentation on behalf of the President.

He commended Muslims in the region for their contribution to national development and urged them to continue to do so.

Mr. Evans-Aidoo conveyed the President’s greetings to them and wished them progress and happiness in the years ahead.

At another ceremony, Mr. Evans-Aidoo donated 200 bags each of maize, beans and rice and 1,000 mats to Muslims in all the Districts of the region.


The Deputy Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Sanni Abdulai thanked President Mills and the Regional Minister for their kind gestures and prayed for Allah’s blessings for them.
