Members of Northampton's Muslim community have held a peace conference aimed at raising awareness of their faith.
The event was organised by the local branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.
The main focus of the conference was the Qur'an and its meaning and message for Muslims and other religions.
The event was held at Caroline Chisholm School where members of other faith groups, MPs and councillors attended.
It is the second time the Northampton branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association have held a peace conference.
The aim is to create a better understanding of the religion and dispel preconceptions and negative views people have towards Islam.
General Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Northampton, Waqar Ahmad says: "We are a peace loving group and the main message of Islam is to live in peace and harmony with others."
The local group consists of 40 members and their motto is, 'Love for all, hatred for none.'
The event was also attended by Imam Atul Mujeeb Rashed, the head of the Fazal Mosque in London which serves the Ahmadiyya Muslim community across the UK.
