The only reason I felt the need to write in response to Mr. Thomas’s article is because he used the verse of the Holy Quran out of context. Please promote peace.

Re: Cal Thomas column, Tuesday’s MDJ
Please do not cherry pick the verses of the Holy Quran to make it look like as if Islam or the Holy Quran is the reason why Muslims act like savages. There are many examples of war verses in the Bible, such as Deuteronomy 20:10-17: “When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. … If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. …”

Muslims, Christians and Jews all came from the same God. Those among Muslims or any other faith who create disorder on the earth should be punished, but it does not mean that their faith is to be blamed for it. Good and bad people are in every religion.
