TOBA TEK SINGH: Religious organisations will observe a strike in Gojra today (Friday) against the police for its failure to arrest a woman allegedly involved in a blasphemy case.
This was decided in a meeting at the Jamia Masjid, Grain Market, Gojra, which was chaired by Maulana Sheikh Khalid Rizvi.
The complainant and other people attended the meeting.
The participants said that Aroma Masih had allegedly sent a blasphemous SMS to the complainant.
It is believed that the Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan are used to settle scores with rivals and by religio-political groups to gain political leverage.
