Exploring Islam Exhibition

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā’at has organized “Exploring Islam Exhibition” at Old’s Municipal Library (5217-52 St, Olds, Alberta).

The two weeks exhibition will run from June 1, 2013 to June 15, 2013. The purpose of this exhibition is to promote a better understanding of the peaceful teachings of Islam.

The exhibition will also provide an opportunity to learn about numerous scientific statements and notions in Holy Qur’an, endorsed by modern-day scientific discoveries.

The exhibition is open to public. All are welcome to visit the exhibition to understand the fundamental Islamic teachings of peace & tolerance and dispel commonplace myths about Islam, “Islam promotes terrorism and hate”, “Women don’t have equal rights in Islam” and “Islam does not accommodate other religions”, are some examples of common misunderstandings prevalent in a segment of our society.

Before concluding the exhibition on June 15, 2013, there will be a Q&A session and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.

Complementary refreshments will be served on Saturday, June 15, 2013 between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to mark the closing of the exhibition at the Olds Municipal Library.
