NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Local members of the Muslim Community held a special interfaith dinner last night.
They were celebrating the festival of Eid, which is one of the biggest religious events on the Islamic calendar. For this gathering in Niagara Falls, people of all faiths were invited to pull up a chair.
"This is the only way to break the barriers between different religious backgrounds and different faiths and traditions so we can all share this wonderful world together," said Nasir Khan, president of the Buffalo Chapter Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Organizers say interfaith events like this foster understanding and teach tolerance.
