India: Hindu nationalist leader accuses Mother Teresa of serving India's poor for conversion

Mohan Bhagwat comments prompt national controversy on #RSSQuestionsTeresa.

Alleged comments by one of India's Hindu leaders, questioning the intentions of Mother Teresa's charitable work in India have prompted debate on Twitter.

On Monday, Mohan Bhagwat, leader of the pro-Hindu group, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), reportedly questioned the work of the Catholic nun, stating, "Here, the service isn't like Mother Teresa's. Her service would have been good but it used to have one objective, to see that the person who was being helped felt obliged to become a Christian."

The RSS said Bhagwat's comments were taken out of context.

Many took to Twitter to weigh in on the debate. Some used #RSSQuestionsTeresa, a hashtag initiated by India's Times Now News Channel's "Newshour", to express their support for Mother Teresa: See here...
