USA: Chicago Imam visits Sierra Leone Muslim Community in Tinley Park, IL


Imam Shamshad invited all members of the Sierra Leone Muslim community to come to Masjid Baitul Jamey in Chicago for their spiritual needs, community functions, and send their children for Sunday classes free of charges.

Imam Shamshad A. Nasir from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Baitul Jamey Mosque and his wife were recently among the Sierra Leone Muslim community members who had gathered at the residence of Dr. and Mrs Koromain of Tinley Park, a village located in Cook County, IL.

The General Secretary of the community, Mr. Ibrahim, welcomed the Imam and invited him to address their community members.

Imam Shamshad in his addressed thanked everyone and mentioned a brief history of the Ahmadiyya Mission in Sierra Leone. Imam also mentioned the services of the Ahmadiyya Muslim mission in the field of health and education.

Imam Shamshad has served as a Missionary in Sierra Leone from 1982-1986.

Imam Shamshad invited all members of the Sierra Leone Muslim community to come to Masjid Baitul Jamey in Chicago for their spiritual needs, community functions, and send their children for Sunday classes free of charges.

Imam Shamshad said that  Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Chicago will join them for celebration of Sierra Leone independent day.

President of Sierra Leone community and few other members thanked the imam and welcomed the idea; and assured Imam about cooperate with each other's.

Meeting was ended with silent prayer lead by Imam Shamshad
