A Swedish lawmaker visited the Fazl Mosque in London and received an audience with the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.
Now a member of Sweden’s National Parliament since 2010, Social Democrat Mrs Shadiye Heydari came to Sweden in 1986 from Iranian part of Kurdistan.
During the 40-minute meeting with Mrs Heydari on March 7, 2015, according to the information released by Ahmadiyya press desk, the Khalifa of Islam reiterated his concerns about the increasing threat and danger posed by extremism in many parts of the world.
"His Holiness counselled that politicians should seek to identify the root causes of extremism and to build a long-term strategy to counter youth radicalization," the press statement said. "His Holiness said that so called ‘Jihadi fighters’ were “completely senseless” and their acts were to be categorically condemned."

"For peace in the world to prevail it was necessary for justice and fairness at all levels of society to prevail," press desk quoted His Holiness as saying.
Mrs Heydari, who sits in Parliament for the City of Göteborg constituency, thanked His Holiness for his guidance and requested His Holiness to visit Sweden in the near future.
His Holiness thanked her for the invitation and prayed that she was successful in promoting peace and human rights in the world, the Ahmadiyya press desk said.
