Perspective: Terror act condemned by Stafford Muslim | Shehla Ahmad
While terrorists seek to spread fear, divisions and hatred, as a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and being one of the 1.6 billion peace-loving Muslims who stand shoulder to shoulder against extremism and terrorism, I wish happy holidays and New Year to all.

As a Muslim, I find the Christmas market attack in Berlin extremely horrific, tragic, shocking and strongly condemnable. It’s not only an inhumane act but it is also in clear violation of the teachings of Islam.
Islam requires every Muslim to honor and value the sanctity of human life. The fact that the attack was carried out on a Christmas market makes it even more despicable.
Christmas and New Year symbolize a time to spread happiness and send wishes of love and peace around the world.
On the contrary, the heinous acts of terrorists are the worst things an individual could do to humanity and even to the faith (Islam) they know nothing of.
As a Muslim, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of this horrific act.
While terrorists seek to spread fear, divisions and hatred, as a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and being one of the 1.6 billion peace-loving Muslims who stand shoulder to shoulder against extremism and terrorism, I wish happy holidays and New Year to all.
