Faith and Logic: God always gets blamed for the evils

Q: How do you deal with or explain the existence of Evil in the world?  How could there be a God who would allow such things like epidemics, genocide & war to happen?

Why is it that God always gets the blame for the evils that human beings do?  Show me any act of evil in the world and I will show you a human being behind it.

What many people fail to see is that God gives all of us “Free Will” to choose to do right or wrong.  It makes it the responsibility of people to stop evil in the world…

By either not doing it themselves -- and if people would simply police themselves, there would be no need for police, right? -- or by standing up to fight evil when it arises in the world.

Take the Nazis for example.  Did the German people rise up and stand up to the evil of the Nazis?  No.  many of them thought the Nazis were not evil at all.

America and the Allied nations did eventually stand up against the evil of the Nazis, but not to save the Jews.  The Christian world cared nothing for the Jews -- it still doesn’t.  The Allied countries in World War II only fought against the Nazis because the Allied countries themselves were threatened.

And even then, America did not enter in the war against Germany until after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.  Then we had to declare war on Germany because they were allies with Japan.  Otherwise, we may have never entered into World War II at all.

The point is, that evil is in the world because people choose to NOT follow God’s commandments.  If people followed God’s best and latest commandments in Islam, in the Holy Quran, there would be no evil in the world.
