Eye on Extremism: Christian woman in Pakistan condemned to death for blasphemy

Fox News' Bill O'Reilly caught a raft of grief from the Politically Correct robots of the entertainment and liberal communities for pointing out that the civilized world has a "Muslim problem."

The precise nature of that problem is well-illustrated now in Pakistan where a 45-year mother of five has been sentenced to death for blasphemy against Islam.

Asia Bibi's "crime" is that she professes the Christian faith. And for that, under Pakistan's Islamic sharia law, she must die.

That's the unsolvable problem posed by the political, religious and cultural relativism at the heart of the PC mindset - It is logically impossible to simultaneously insist that all views, faiths, and cultures are equally valid and deserving of respect while tolerating one that insists - on pain of death - that it alone must be followed by all others.


Either the latter gives up its lethal insistence upon superiority to all others and leaves them unmolested, or it sets itself at war with them. O'Reilly was far from alone in suggesting that non-Muslims should, as a matter of self-preservation, recognize this brutal reality.

According to The (UK) Telegraph, Bibi's problem began when she got drinks of water for a group of Muslim women with whom she was working in a field:

"The court heard she had been working as a farmhand in fields with other women, when she was asked to fetch drinking water.

"Some of the other women – all Muslims – refused to drink the water as it had been brought by a Christian and was therefore 'unclean,' according to Mrs Bibi's evidence, sparking a row.

"The incident was forgotten until a few days later when Mrs Bibi said she was set upon by a mob.

"The police were called and took her to a police station for her own safety."
