Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association visited an old people’s home last weekend.

Four members of the group, based at the London Mosque in Gressenhall Road, visited the Park Lodge Care Home on Victoria Drive, Southfields, on January 29 (Saturday).

They handed over sweet gifts for the residents and staff and were given the opportunity to sit down and have a chat with OAPs.

An AMYA spokesman said: "To serve mankind is part of our faith and we want undertake regular community projects in our local area.

"To fulfill this commandment, we decided to pay a visit to our local Care Home and bring gifts and sweets to the residents.

"We want to spend some time with the residents and speak to them and engage in conversation, and see how we could assist them as a youth organisation."
