Australia: About 100 people attend a Harmony Day event in Blacktown

Besides the UBM, other participants were the Bidwill Uniting Church, Baha’i Community of Blacktown, Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Australia Mosque at Marsden Park, and the Sri Lankan Buddhist Vihara Association, Schofields.

ABOUT 100 people attended this year’s Harmony Day organised by the Universal Brotherhood Mission(UBM) held in Blacktown recently.

Besides the UBM, other participants were the Bidwill Uniting Church, Baha’i Community of Blacktown, Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Australia Mosque at Marsden Park, and the Sri Lankan Buddhist Vihara Association, Schofields.

Raj Gauba spoke on the core message of Universal Brotherhood Mission which he said is universal brotherhood through God’s teaching.


He said the central theme of Harmony Day is aligned with the teachings of UBM master Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji.

The Ahmadiyya’s presented a beautiful Nazam (poem) praising the greatness of god, Bahai’s - a Pacific Islander dance showing the cultural diversity within their followers and the Sri Lankan Buddhist a chant.

UBM presented a beautiful Qawali (song) glorifying God with verses in both English and Hindi.

Those who attended included Michelle Rowland (federal Greenway MP), Julie Owens (federal Parramatta MP),John Robertson (state Blacktown MP and Opposition Leader), Bart Bassett (state Londonberry MP and Hawkesbury mayor), Andrew Rohan (state Smithfield MP), Kathie Collins (deputy Mayor of Blacktown) councillors Stephen Bali and Jacqueline Donaldson.

Chanbir Singh,president UBM Australia and vice president Shashi Grover presented certificate of appreciation to all the MPs and councillors.
