Glen Ellyn, IL — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA’s nationwide "Muslims for Life" initiative will be formally launched in Chicago this weekend during the Chicago Air and Water show, where a “Muslims for Life” banner will be flown from one of the planes.

Locally, a press briefing will launch the campaign today at the Baet-ul-Jaamay Mosque, 2S 510 route 53, Glen Ellyn.

The campaign aims to show that terrorists have painted an untrue, violent picture of Muslims causing death and destruction. According to a release from the Ahmidiyya Muslim Community, Islam teaches and advocates for the sanctity, reverence and protection of all life.

From noon to 5 p.m. on the tenth anniversary of Sept. 11, the “Muslims for Life” campaign will hold a blood drive at the Baet-ul-Jaamay Mosque, 2S 510 route 53, Glen Ellyn, to honor the victims of Sept.11.
