UK (AT): The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) of Lower Morden organised an event to commemorate the life and teaching of the Holy founder of Islam, the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
The function held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Toynbee Hall on Commercial Street in London was attended by nearly 130 people including Abdul Aziz Toki, Counsellor Westminster Council and Khalil Qazi, Counsellor Newham Council.
Mohammad Abdul Hadi, President, Bangla Department, AMA UK, presided over the session.
The gathering was addressed by several speakers including Maulana Feroze Alam, Incharge – Central Bangla Desk UK; and Maulana Nasim Bajwa, Imam, Baitul Futuh Mosque, Morden UK.
The event was moderated by Mansoor Ahmad, Secretary, Bangla Department, AMA UK and Chaudhary Haq Nawaz, President, AMA Lower Morden welcomed the guests.
The speakers pointed out that the Holy Prophet was an embodiment of peace and paragon of tolerance.
Maulana Feroze Alam said the Holy Prophet was the champion of human rights who not only emphasised the desirability of tolerance in religious matters but also set a very high standard in this respect.
Mohammad Abdul Hadi in his concluding speech observed that Muslims must follow the models of the Holy Prophet Mohammad in all spares of our life.
Mr. Hadi thanked the organizers, speakers, and Toynbee Hall authority for their help and cooperation in making the meeting a successful event.
A question answer session was held prior to the close of the event and scholars from Ahmadiyya Muslim community answered questions from the audience.
The function was followed by a dinner.
