The Khalifa of Islam and the international leader of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community arrived in the US amid members of the community raising slogans announcing God's Greatness and Salutations of Peace for the Holy Founder of Islam, the Prophet Mohammd.
His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad - who is the 5th successor of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian - reached Chicago, Illinois, this evening on the first leg of his two week visit to the US.
Children presented His Holiness bouquet of elegant flowers and dozens of youth lined up to sing spiritual chorus' at the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Chicago.
During his visit, His Holiness will meet with thousands of American Muslims.
His Holiness will also hold dialogue with significant U.S. government leaders to strengthen relationships and find means of establishing peace and justice for all people.
On the morning of June 27th, His Holiness will deliver the keynote address at a special bi-partisan reception at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill entitled, "The Path to Peace: Just Relations Between Nations."
During his visit His Holiness will preside over the 64th Annual Convention of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on June 29th through July 1st.
Jalsa Salana - a three day event and the nation's oldest annual Islamic convention - is expected to attract over 12,000 American Muslims and 1,000 non-Muslim guests.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a fast growing international revival movement within Islam.
Founded in 1889, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spans 200 countries with, according to some estimates, membership exceeding 160 millions.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is the first American-Muslim organization.
