The annual regional conference of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, the youth wing of the movement has been held at Jirapa, capital of the Jirapa district.
The two-day conference is been held under the theme ‘‘The role of the Ahmadiyya youth towards peaceful and transparent elections’’.
The guest speaker at the function, kale Caesario, deputy Upper West Regional Minister whose speech was read on his behalf commended the Ahmadiyya mission for the positive role they have played in the nation with particular reference to education and health.
Mr. Kale said it is their hope that they are not going to rest on their oars but strive to spread their compassion to others across the country.
He also commended the Movement for the able manner they have mobilize the youth and urged them to use the opportunity to speak against social vices and to uplift moral values, saying that they should be dedicated and bold in their organizational works by coming out with workable work plans for the youth in the country.
He charged the youth to build their capacities in local governance for the good of the nation.
He said the youth policy of the government of the NDC is geared towards national development stating that Youth unemployment is now a big problem in the world and Ghana has not been spared of this negative phenomenon of unemployment.
He asked the youth of the country to take advantage of existing opportunities in the country.
Abdul-Salam Sualih, president of the North West region of the movement counseled the youth to look at both ideology and Islamic principles of a party before joining it.
He asked them to eschew the politics of vendetta, hatred, greed, corruption, lies and immorality.
He further asked the youth especially those who are engaged in politics to speak the truth in whatever situation they found themselves. Failure to adhere to that means, ‘‘you have lost an opportunity to tell the world your own potential, you have disgraced your own family and lastly you have disappointed your religion’’ because God enjoins all Muslims to speak the truth even at the peril of your life.
