The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, Seattle Chapter, which has a center in Lynnwood, and Temple B'nai Torah in Bellevue will come together to observe the Muslim fast of Ramadan and the Jewish fast of Tisha B'av at 7 p.m. July 29 at the temple, 15727 NE Fourth St., Bellevue.

There will be a combined evening service of breaking the fast together, a presentation on Ramadam, and Holy Quran and Torah exhibitions.

Founded in 1889, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast-growing international revival movement within Islam which spans 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is the first American-Muslim organization; and whose journal, The Muslim Sunrise, is among the earliest and longest running American-Muslim periodicals.

Temple B’nai Torah - nearly 800 families strong - is a community dedicated to Jewish prayer, Jewish study, and to Tikkun Olam, helping to repair our world, their website says.

Temple B’nai Torah's goal and commitment is, the website further says, "to keep the closeness, the community and the spiritual strength of our “Little Temple in the Woods” on Mercer Island."
