Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hasan has given the taunting statement against Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and targeted him for a secular personality.

Munawar has said that base-coins in the pocket of the Quaid e Azam and their progeny caused the fall of the nation. Pakistan was the first ideological state that came into being on the basis of Islamic ideology but the civil, military and technocrats’ regimes during the last 65 years had tried to deprive it of its ideological character and make it a secular state.

He was addressing the concluding ceremony of the 33rd Tafseer-e-Quran course at Mansoora masjid. He said that so far, the country had been run by the people educated at westernized elite schools who neither accepted Islam as a system of life nor allowed it to prosper in the country. These rulers had always been looking up to the US for policy making.
