Burkina Faso: Ahmadiyya annual conference | 72 hours to promote Ahmadi values
During the three days, more than three thousand participants, men, women and children attended addresses on the history of Islam, the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Mahdi (Ghulam Ahmad).

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Burkina Faso held its annual conference from the 28th to the 30th december 2012 in Kouba, located in the Koubri town on the theme "Islam and freedom of speech".
Kouba, right next to the toll booth on the axis-Kombissiri Ouagadougou, was were Ahmadis get together in Burkina Faso. The Ahmadi Muslims who claim to be the followers of the Imam-al-Mahdi and Promised Messiah (Ghulam Ahmad) unite to strengthen their faith.
This was the 22nd annual national conference which was held on the main theme "Islam and freedom of expression."
During the three days, more than three thousand participants, men, women and children attended addresses on the history of Islam, the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Mahdi (Ghulam Ahmad).
The opening of the conference began with the rise of the Burkina and Ahmadiyya flag.
In his inaugural sermon, the chief missionary, Amir Khalid Mahmood, invited his fellow being to learn more about Islam, in order to practice it in a better way.
"Islam is not a terrorist religion and Ahmadiyya is there to testify this" he said.
For him, the annual conference is an instruction of the founder of Ahmadiyya: "As far as possible, all my brothers should gather at the set date, so they can listen to the divine word, just for the sake of Allah and participate in prayers."
Mayor Koubri Athanase Compaore hailed the Ahmadiyya community and asked them to pray for peace in Burkina Faso. At this meeting, delegations came from Mali, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Niger to support the Ahmadiyya community in Burkina Faso.
