India: For 3rd year Ahmadiyya book stall a success at Annual Bangalore Book Festival
The organizers distributed - free of charge - some 60,000 leaflets and packages in multiple languages and more than 600 DVDs which were on different subjects such as “Introduction to Ahmadiyyat”, “Life of Holy Prophet(saw)” for Muslims and non-Muslims.

For the 3rd straight year, Bangalore Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community has organized a 10 days Book Stall at the Annual Bangalore Book festival at Palace Grounds.
The festival was held from the 14th till the 23rd of December 2012 and over 50,000 people visited the Ahmadiyya booths.
DNA, the online news website, reported that the festival, organised by Bengaluru Sahityotsava in association with the Bangalore Booksellers and Publishers Association, Sahitya Akademi, and Indian Illustrated classics, features more than 307 stalls and a million books in different languages.
Ahmadiyya Muslim volunteers along with experts in more than 10 languages, were on hand to manage the stall that spread over 400 sq. ft. with large banners stressing this years themes “Glorious Teachings of the Holy Quran” and “The Life of Prophet Muhammad (saw).”
There was an exhibition of the Holy Quran in 45 languages, Holy Qurans for sale in 11 languages, and the book, "Life of Muhammads (saw)" in 6 languages.
Reporting from Bangalore, India,, a member of the Dawat-e-illallah (invitation to God) team, Shahid Pervez Badruddin says they managed to have additional material this year in the local Kannada language with 4 New Titles viz “Life of Muhammad (saw)”, “Murder in the Name of Allah”, “Zikr-e-Illahi” and “Our Teachings” apart from new materials.
The volunteers, Shahid Pervez says, came from the community's auxiliary organizations, Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya (youth organization , Majlis Ansarulla (community elders), and Lajnia Iama;Illah (Ahmadiyya Muslim Women organization) form many parts of the state and from the national headquarters in Qadian, Punjab.
"We were blessed with efficient hardworking volunteers from Khuddam, Ansar and Lajna who represented the Jamaat and gave good introductions and befitting replies when required," Shahid Pervez writes. "Khuddams and Mubaligues [trained missionaries] expert at Dawat-il-Allah had come to Bangalore from other parts of the Karnataka State, especially to take part in the Fair."
"We had ... converts who were previously Hindus, and they proved to be very effective when Hindu visitors came to the stall."

The Famous Kannada Poet K S Nissar Ahmed and many other academicians, journalists, writers, advocates, social activists and students came the stall and had good discussions.
Non-Ahmadi Muslims took the trouble to disturb the Ahmadiyya presentation by distributing anti-Ahmadiyya materials to Muslims and warned them to avoid Ahmadiyya Stalls, it was reported.
Few Islamists kepts returning to the Ahmadiyya stalls to provoke trouble, Shahid Pervez reported.
