TEMPO Interactive, Bandung:Rahman Musa Ahmad, a follower of the Ahmadiyah teachings, sat in resignation at the Bandung District Court. Despite his witness status, the Telkom employee was treated as a defendant. Rahman was referred to as an infidel (kafir) multiple times by the actual defendant during a case trial on the vandalism of An-Nasir 1948 mosque on Thursday, January 10.
At the end of the witness accounts, including the questioning of Rahman, the panel of judges granted defendant Asep Abdurrahman an opportunity to respond or ask the witness a question. "To you, infidel, what threatening words did I say at that time [prior to the incident on October 25, 2012]?" Asep asked Rahman at the court room on Thursday, January 10.
Without objection, Rahman answered Asep's question based on what he had heard a few hours before the vandalism took place. "I'm afraid this will turn out like Cikeusik's [attack against Ahmadiyah followers in Cikeusik, Banten, in 2011]. In Sundanese [language]," Rahman testified.
