Ghana: Cape Coast North MP supports Abura Ahmadiyya School with roofing sheets


MP said  government  was committed to providing quality education at all levels and gave the assurance that he would give education the needed support and assistance to regain its past glory in the region.

Cape Coast, GNA - Mr Ebo Barton Oduro, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, at the weekend presented 200 pieces of roofing sheets worth about GH¢ 3,000 to the Abura Ahmadiyya Basic School at a short ceremony in Cape Coast.

Mr Oduro said he was fulfilling a promise he made to the school following an appeal it made to him for assistance.

He said  government  was committed to providing quality education at all levels and gave the assurance that he would give education the needed support and assistance to regain its past glory in the region.

He urged parents to send their children, particularly the girl child, to school and ensure they stayed in school by providing them with their basic needs.

Mr Ibrahim Allhansan, Local President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, who received the items on behalf of the school, commended the MP for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be used for the purpose for which it was donated.

He appealed to other individuals, groups and philanthropist to emulate the example of the MP and assist the school which lacked a lot social amenities. GNA
