Muslim Telivision Ahmadiyya (MTA) International, an independent, all volunteer, worldwide satellite broadcast network has a newly appointed management board, the Ahmadiyya newspaper Daily Al-fazal has reported.

The worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim leader, His Holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has approved the new board, said the private secretary of His Holiness according to the news.

Effective since March 14, 2013, according to the announcement, Mr. Munirud Din Shams heads the board as its managing director.

Mirzā Mahmood Ahmad and Syed Naseer Ahmad will serve as deputy managing directors 1 and 2 respectively.

Director of news division, Abid Waheed Khan, will also serve as the secretary of the management board.

Ms. Maha Dabbous will serve as director MTA 3 (MTA – AL Arabia) and a familiar face since inception of MTA, Munir Udeh, will continue to serve as production director.

The enormous task of translation of multiple language transmissions for the network rests with Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashid who will serve is director translations.

Founded by the Ahmadiyys Muslim Community in January 1994, MTA is the first international Muslim channel to broadcast large scale Islamic programming.

Established in London, UK, the channel was started by His Holiness Mirza Tahir Ahmad (late), the 4th supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The enterprise has now grown to a global satellite TV network consisting of 4 international channels which broadcasts a variety of programs in several global languages including Urdu, English, Arabic, Bengali, Indonesian, French, Swahili and Hausa.

Ahmadī Muslims believe that MTA International transmission fulfills a prophetic revelation of the community’s Holy Founder Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835 – 1908) of Qādiān, India, in which God told Hadhrat Ahmad that, “I will convey thy message to reach the corners of the Earth.”
