Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, Naib Ameer II and Acting Ameer of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana, (AMMG) on Tuesday said the primary objective of Muslims is to submit to God's will.
He said this is just what Prophet Abraham, his son and wife Ishmael and Hajira did.
"The Muslim's lifestyle needs to depict submissiveness, peace, love and kindness for all and also make an impact in the society.
"Those of us called Muslims owe mankind the duty of being the embodiments of peace and ensure peaceful co-existence," he said.
Maulvi Bin Salih made the remarks when addressing hundreds of Ahmadis who converged on the grounds of the headquarters of the AMMG at Ashongmang in Accra, for special prayers to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha.
He said Muslims needs to be seen as practical instruments of peace and security for mankind and in order to attain the status quo, they have to live true Islam, practice Islam as found in the Holy Quran and by the Holy Prophet from whom peace and blessings of Allah became the embodiments of Islam.
"It is in this vain that we condemn all acts of terrorism, suicide bombings and all such acts that endanger the lives, peace and security of mankind," he noted.
Maulvi Bin Salih advised Muslims that as they commemorate the sacrifice made by Abraham, his wife and son worldwide they should also endeavour to sacrifice in nation building.
He said Eid-ul-adha laid down the principles of progress and development, whether in religious pursuit or mundane affairs.
Maulvi Bin Salih led the Ahmadis to pray for the nation and its leadership.
Eid-ul-adha is a feast of animal sacrifice, which climaxes the annual Hajj devotion of Muslims across the globe.
