Guyana: 32nd Annual Convention of Ahmadiyya Muslims concludes successfully


The National Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Guyana spoke on the topic of 'Islam is a religion of compassion."

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Guyana held its 32nd Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) this weekend at the community's national headquarters in Queenstown, Georgetown.

Over 200 participants benefited from the 2-day event which began on Saturday, October 26, and concluded the following day..

The theme of the Jalsa Salana Guyana - 2013 was: "World crisis and the pathway to peace"

The National Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Guyana spoke on the topic of 'Islam is a religion of compassion."

A day before the convention, on Friday evening, the community members had assembled for a planning session where the recitation of the Holy Quran and reciting of poems was also undertaken.
