Discover the life of Muhammad, the revival of Islam and the return of Jesus Dec. 27-29 at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Convention in Chino

It’s expected that Christians celebrate and remember Jesus at Christmas time, but who would expect Muslims to celebrate and remember the Second Coming of Jesus in the same month? But, for the past 27 years during the last weekend in December, that has been the agenda for many hundreds of Southern California and West Coast members of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The non-political, non-violent and peace-loving Islamic sect was founded in Northern India in 1889 as a reform movement by the Imam Mahdi and Promised Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908). The Ahmadiyya Community now has thousands of chapters and millions of members in 204 countries. The Community’s motto is: “Love for All – Hatred for None.”

Southern California’s Inland Empire chapter is headquartered at the Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino at 11941 Ramona Ave. It is at this 5-acre site that upwards of 1300 Ahmadi Muslims will gather from Friday, Dec. 27th until Sunday, Dec. 29th to listen to speeches on topics such as: Atheism, Salvation, Delivering the Message of Islam, and Avoiding Sins.

For ladies interested in learning more about Islam from a woman’s perspective, the Ahmadiya Ladies auxiliary will have their own separate session on Saturday, Dec. 28th, from 10:00 am until noon, and any ladies who wish to attend are always welcome. The speeches during this session will cover the Life of the Holy Prophet, Fulfilling the Role of Wife and Mother, Self-Reformation, and a presentation from lady converts on what attracted them to Islam and how they convey the message of Islam to others.

There will also be a special public session Saturday afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for anyone interested in learning about Islam, the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad. There will be speeches on the following subjects: Treasures of the Holy Quran, High Moral Excellences of Prophet Muhammad, and Contributions of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Ahmadi Muslims are unique in all Islam because they believe that the Second Coming of Christ has already happened. They believe their founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, was the Imam Mahdi for the Muslims and the spiritual return of Jesus in the same manner that John the Baptist was the spiritual return of Elijah as explained by Jesus in the New Testament (Matt.17:12-13).
