[UPDATE: March 26, 2014] According to a communique circulated by Bilal Rana, national president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, the trip reported in the following story has been "postponed indefinitely."
The Khalifa of Islam and the spiritual head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat (His Holiness), Mirza Masroor Ahmad will visit the United States in few weeks, it is reported.
The membership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) of the United Sate learned today in an email blast about Hazrat Ahmad's visit to the U.S., anticipated in late spring, early summer this year.
"I am about to say the best words a Sadr [president] could ever say: Hadhur is coming," wrote Bilal Rana, national president of AMYA-USA in an email to his nationwide membership.
"Hadhur," an Arabic/Urdu world, conveys the very essence of the highest respect for someone very revered.
Rana reminded his membership about the sentiments of appreciation His Holiness had bestowed upon the American Ahmadi Muslim youth during his May 2013 visit of Los Angeles.
"Such honest and sincere expressions of love should never go unreturned," youth president wrote. "So plead to your employers, to your professors, and to your parents — do whatever you have to do, but don’t miss this opportunity."
Rana further reminded his membership about "the tremendous honor and tradition of serving" that comes with this opportunity.
During his visit, His Holiness will meet with thousands of American Muslims and hold dialogue with various leaders to strengthen relationships and find means of establishing peace and justice for all people.
Scheduled along with his tour of the US, Hazrat Ahmad will reportedly visit some South American countries as well.
Hazrat Ahmad has previously visited the United States on multiple occasions and has met with leaders from many facets of life including religious and civic leaders, political leaders, and lawmakers.
During his 2012 visit, His Holiness received bipartisan support on Capitol Hill from over 150 dignitaries, including 30-plus members of Congress (both the House and Senate) where His Holiness delivered the event’s keynote address.
In April 2013, His Holiness visited Los Angeles and delivered a keynote address at a reception hosted by civic and political leaders in Beverly Hills.
