ISIS claims to be everything Islam isn’t. The Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad promote a pluralistic society in which everyone is granted freedom of religion and everyone’s rights are respected. Prophet Muhammad defined a good Muslim as one from whose tongue and hands other people stay safe. He taught tolerance and strictly forbade the killing of any other Muslim over theological differences. The same Christians being murdered today were invited by Prophet Muhammad to pray in his mosque in Medina.

People are being killed over religious and doctrinal differences, while Prophet Muhammad embraced such people and stood for their rights. But like I have said, ISIS stands for everything Islam opposes. These are the true teachings of Islam as understood by a majority of Muslims and practised by the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community.
