Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canada invites all Canadians to attend their fundraiser and solidarity rally

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Women’s Association plan to hold bake sale to raise funds for the families of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent.

According to a statement issued by the community, the fundraiser will start at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 2nd, at Maple High School in Vaughan, ON.

"All proceeds from this bake sale will be donated to the Stand on Guard Fund," the community said in its press statement.

The national president of the association will attend the fundraiser along with other national officers and their membership.

The event comes on the heals of solidarity rallies organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community chapters in Saskatoon, SK and Lloydminster, AB.

Another solidarity rally in Winnipeg is planned for tomorrow, Sunday, at Manitoba Legislative Building starting at 12:00 p.m.

The community said the purpose of the event is "to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow Canadians and categorically and unequivocally condemn radicalization and all acts of terror."

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community -- whose motto is 'Love for all, Hatred for none' -- is an international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the community spans over 200 countries with membership exceeding 150 millions.
