Canada: Regina Ahmadiyya Muslim group shows support for Canadian troops


Shazia Rehman walked amongst the group holding flags as drivers honked their horns in support. She said that its hard to wrap her head around extremist ideology.

Muslims held signs like, 'terrorists hijacked my religion'

Muslims in Regina waved Canadian flags and held signs showing support for the armed forces in front of city hall on Saturday.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim group wants to tell people they are Canadian too and that they are against the attacks on soldiers in Ottawa and Quebec.

Shazia Rehman walked amongst the group holding flags as drivers honked their horns in support. She said that its hard to wrap her head around extremist ideology.

"In the name of a religion which stands for peace, it's totally opposed to what we stand for."

Members of the Muslim group sang O Canada and held signs the read 'terrorists hijacked my religion,' 'we support our troops' and 'love for all, hatred for none'.
